ALTAR SERVERS
Altar serving is a special ministry for boys and girls in grades 5 and up. Servers assist the priest during Mass by carrying the cross, holding the Roman Missal, and preparing the altar. They wear the alb, a sign of their baptism, and take part in our most sacred liturgical moments.
Training includes in-person sessions. It’s a meaningful way for young parishioners to grow in faith and serve the Church.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
Eucharistic Ministers at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish help distribute the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and, in some cases, bring Communion to the homebound.
This vital ministry deepens our parish’s spiritual life and keeps those unable to attend connected to the Church.
Training is required. After training, you can choose Mass times that work best for you.

LECTORS
Lectors at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish proclaim the Word of God during Mass, sharing the readings, intercessions, and announcements. This ministry involves prayerful preparation and delivering Scripture with clarity and meaning.
Most lectors serve about once a month. Training is provided to ensure you feel confident and prepared.

USHERS
Ushers serve an important role in creating a welcoming and orderly environment during Mass. They assist with seating, take up the collection, and help guide the flow of Communion.
This is a great way to serve the parish and help others feel at home in our church. Volunteers are always needed and appreciated.

CHOIR
The Choir is a vital ministry that leads our congregation in worship. All skill levels are welcome to join.
